Audi A3 Vehicle Data API: Signals & Model Years

DIMO gives developers API access to Audi A3 vehicle data. Model years 2010 and newer connect with a DIMO device (DIMO LTE R1 or AutoPi). Headline signals include odometer, fuel percentage and vehicle speed.

DIMO gives developers API access to vehicle-state data: diagnostics, fault codes, battery and fuel health, odometer, and maintenance signals. For the Audi A3, data comes from a DIMO device, covering model years 2010 and newer. This coverage has been tested rather than assumed, and you query it through the Telemetry API with a Vehicle JWT. DIMO adds vehicle-state depth on top of GPS tracking; it doesn't replace it.

No factory connectivity?

Audi A3 model years 2010 and newer have no OEM cloud connection listed. For these years, a DIMO device (DIMO LTE R1 or AutoPi) plugs into the OBD-II port and streams vehicle signals once the owner connects it and consents to sharing.

Yes, with a DIMO device. Query the powertrainFuelSystemRelativeLevel or powertrainFuelSystemAbsoluteLevel signal through the Telemetry API. For refuel events, the segments query accepts the refuel detection mechanism, which looks for a significant rise in fuel level.
